DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
(include but are not limited to the following)- Perform high quality echocardiograms and stress echos and general ultrasound including abdomen and OB/GYN and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures.
- Competently set up and assist radiologist and pathologist during procedures.
- Working with the EMR's to generate and complete exam orders.
- Perform, record, and analyze QC data in order to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning work area, and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
- Regular attendance, including clocking in and out at scheduled times and minimal unplanned time off.
- Maintain clinical competency and current professional knowledge, by completing in-house education and competencies, learning new protocols, and new equipment training.
- Responsible for contacting service personnel and notifying supervisors of malfunctioning equipment
- Transporting patients
- Knowledge of PACS systems, releasing/transmitting images.
- Inform appropriate personnel of department supply needs ensuring uninterrupted testing.
- Work well with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences.
- Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies
