Summary Job Description:
Ultrasound Tech - Hospital Ultrasound PRN - As needed/
Varied Shift Job Description:
The Ultrasound Tech performs a variety of ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions and monitoring patient health.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Allied Health education program (diagnostic medical sonography, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing) and 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience; or 2. Diploma or degree from an ultrasound/vascular program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Canadian Medical Association (CMA); or 3. Bachelor's degree (any major) and 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience; or 4. Bachelor's degree in sonography or vascular technology; or higher. Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Completion of ARDMS Registry within six months of eligibility required. BLS preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred. Additional certification in specialized ultrasound modalities (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, vascular) preferred.
