Position Summary:
We are a patient-oriented, compassionate, and heartfelt ultrasound practice located in Metairie, Louisiana, seeking a registered sonographer for a part-time position. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who values flexibility and enjoys delivering meaningful care in both clinical and bonding scan settings. ⸻ We Are Looking for a Registered Sonographer Who Is Skilled and Compassionate. The ideal candidate is proficient in OB/GYN and general ultrasound, including basic vascular studies and basic general exams such as abdomen and thyroid, and is willing to learn elective 3D/4D imaging and fertility scans (training provided for 4D and fertility). ⸻
Responsibilities:
Perform OB/GYN ultrasounds independently and with confidence Must be experienced in first trimester dating and second trimester anatomy scans, including proper biometric measurements and visualization of: Brain anatomy Four-chamber heart, 3VV, 3VT, RVOT, LVOT Ductal arch, aortic arch, SVC/IVC Stomach, kidneys, bladder All extremities and surrounding fetal/maternal structures Conduct transvaginal scans independently Perform basic general ultrasound studies including abdomen and thyroid Perform basic vascular studies including arterial and venous evaluations of the arms and legs Write detailed diagnostic reports Provide charismatic and warm 3D/4D bonding experiences for families ⸻
Requirements:
ARDMS-registered or equivalent Minimum 2 years of sonography experience Proficient in OB/GYN, general, and vascular ultrasound Must be able to scan basic general studies (abdomen, thyroid) and basic vascular studies (arterial and venous in arms and legs) Willing to learn 3D/4D and fertility ultrasound Kind, reliable, and patient-focused Able to work independently and professionally ⸻
