Job Description

Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an immediate impact in patient care as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer, specializing in General Ultrasound Imaging. In this contract role, you'll work with a collaborative healthcare team, performing essential imaging procedures to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Qualifications:
Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS or equivalent) Proven experience in general ultrasound imaging Strong knowledge of sonographic techniques, principles, and ultrasound equipment operation Competency in evaluating images for technical quality Current BLS certification Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality general ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring both comfort and safety Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations Collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical staff, communicating findings as needed Maintain ultrasound equipment, performing routine checks and reporting malfunctions promptly Educate patients on exam procedures, addressing any questions or concerns Adhere to all regulatory standards and best practices for infection control and patient care
