Job Description

Tufts Medical Center is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Technologist to provide advanced diagnostic imaging and day-to-day leadership for our ultrasound team. In this collaborative, patient-focused role, you will perform complex exams, optimize image quality, and support radiologists in accurate diagnosis. You will supervise technologists, manage schedules, guide protocol development, and champion quality, safety, and service standards. This position offers opportunities to engage in cutting-edge practices, contribute to education and research, and drive continuous improvement in a diverse, innovative academic medical center. Responsibilities Perform and oversee complex diagnostic ultrasound examinations following established protocols Supervise, mentor, and schedule ultrasound technologists to ensure optimal coverage Collaborate with radiologists and providers to support accurate and timely diagnoses Maintain quality assurance, safety, and infection-control standards in the ultrasound lab Train staff on new technologies, protocols, and best practices; support continuous learning Assist with workflow optimization, equipment utilization, and process improvement initiatives Ensure accurate documentation, exam labeling, and timely upload to
PACS/EMR
