Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Ultrasound Tech for our Ultrasound Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will:
- Be competent in production, use, recognition and analysis of ultrasound images and patterns used for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Be knowledgeable in ultrasound physics and instrumentation, normal anatomy and pathological variants.
- Deliver excellent patient care.
- Perform ultrasound procedures under the direction of a radiologist, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain actions and attitude that contributes to the critical success factors of the organization Qualifications include:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) as required and/or be ARDMS registered.
- RDMS (OB/GYN required), (AB preferred)
- Two years of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle a multitask environment and work independently
- PC skills such as Windows NT
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
