Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technologist - PRN to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a variety of specialties, including maternal-fetal medicine, gynecology, breast imaging, and cardiovascular assessments. Duties Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures such as prenatal, abdominal, gynecological, breast, vascular, and echocardiography scans using advanced medical imaging equipment. Operate Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to store, retrieve, and manage diagnostic images efficiently. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures to maintain patient safety. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide detailed imaging reports and assist in diagnosis processes. Maintain comprehensive documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems, including patient history, procedure details, and technical findings. Demonstrate excellent communication skills by explaining procedures clearly to patients and addressing their concerns compassionately. Keep abreast of the latest developments in medical imaging technology and techniques relevant to women's health diagnostics and vascular ultrasound imaging. Requirements Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential from an accredited program. Proven experience in performing obstetric (prenatal), gynecological (gynecology diagnostics), breast ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound imaging. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to women's health and reproductive patient care. Proficiency in operating various medical imaging equipment and understanding of diagnostic radiology principles. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping and reporting. Ability to demonstrate excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication and professionalism. Knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image management. Commitment to maintaining aseptic technique standards and adhering to safety protocols in all procedures.
