Performs detailed venous imaging, including venous duplex of upper and lower extremities and venous insufficiency studies. Training will be provided upon hire.
Education and License:
  • Must be graduate of accredited ultrasonography program
  • Must be registered in vascular sonography by ARDMS or CCI, or registry eligible
  • Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Job Duties:
  • Assist physicians with vascular surgical procedures in the clinic and operating room
  • Accurately perform all venous procedures
  • Maintain sterile environment when needed
  • Positions and aids the patient to achieve quality images
  • Adjusts the equipment functions as needed for quality images
  • Participate in research projects and educational programs
  • Provide preliminary impressions of the tests performed
Experience :
  • Previous vascular ultrasound experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with the healthcare team
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and adjust setting to obtain diagnostic results
  • Performs diagnostic sonographic exams independently to visualize, evaluate, and interpret critical pathological and anatomical data; as per pre-established protocols
  • Working under guidance of physicians to aid in diagnosis of medical conditions
  • Monitors and ensures safety of patients and staff
  • Communicate findings with physicians and other team members of the healthcare team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrates flexibility performing tests/scans in a variety of clinical environments
  • Ability to interact professionally and develop effective relationships
Expected Shift:
  • Monday
  • Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (with ability to be flexible and rotate shifts, if needed)
