Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated , experienced and skilled Registered Vascular Technologist to join our healthcare team. The opportunity is in an office base lab (OBL) with an accredited ultrasound center by the IAC, which performs both arterial and venous endovascular peripheral interventions. In this role, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular diagnostic tests to assess blood flow and identify vascular conditions. The RVT uses ultrasound and other imaging technologies to produce accurate images and reports that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating vascular diseases. The ideal candidate needs to be dynamic, with excellent technical and leadership skills, a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient vascular clinic setting. There will be opportunities to enhance and expand your knowledge base which includes seminars and CME opportunities to keep abreast of this rapidly expanding field. The job hours are 8am

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform non-invasive vascular exams, including but not limited to carotid duplex, venous duplex, arterial duplex, and abdominal vascular imaging.
• Utilize ultrasound equipment to capture images of the vascular system and evaluate blood flow dynamics.
• Analyze and interpret data from diagnostic tests, providing preliminary findings and detailed reports to the referring physician.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of the images and data captured, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound and other vascular diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation during the examination.
• Collaborate with the vascular team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain patient records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Stay current with advances in vascular technology and techniques by participating in continuing education and professional development.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to protect both patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Vascular Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
• Proficiency in the use of ultrasound equipment and other vascular imaging technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Work Environment:

• The RVT typically works in an office base lab with no hospital interactions
• May require standing for extended periods and moving or positioning patients.
• Exposure to infectious diseases and other hazards; adherence to safety protocols is essential.

Salary:

Very competitive payment structure which can be hourly /salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
