Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer providing essential imaging services within a newly opened, state-of-the-art facility. This vital position dedicates support to a dynamic emergency department, working closely with a collaborative and experienced team.
Schedule:
12-hour night shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Every weekend required On call: 2 nights per month (technologist may select these nights) Must work 75% of designated holidays No floating requirements
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in General ED Ultrasound Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S) Active BLS certification Comfortable supporting first-time travelers Experience with or willingness to be trained on: general vitals, EKGs, patient transport, rooming, and assisting patients from different modalities Proficiency using EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, Philips iSite PACS, Siemens Sequoia's, and Trophon equipment Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
Your Responsibilities:
Perform general ED ultrasound imaging, prioritizing timely and accurate patient diagnostics Assist with triage, patient vital signs, EKG, and sitter duties when not conducting ultrasounds Collaborate seamlessly with specialty staff, frequently aiding in patient movement or transport during peak hours Participate in departmental rotation as needed at supporting facilities Attend required administrative and hands-on orientation to ensure smooth integration into department protocols and technology
