Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) / Vascular Sonographer, where you will play a vital role in performing high-quality vascular and cardiac diagnostic imaging. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with vascular, cardiac, and interventional radiology conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced ultrasound technology and cardiovascular assessment techniques to improve patient outcomes. Your skills will support a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with precision and compassion. Duties Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial, venous, and abdominal studies, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. Conduct echocardiography procedures such as cardiac stress tests, physiology assessments, and cardiac rhythm analysis to evaluate heart function. Assist in interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures by providing real-time ultrasound guidance and imaging support. Operate medical equipment including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring proper image storage, retrieval, and documentation. Monitor vital signs during procedures, maintain aseptic technique, and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Analyze diagnostic data, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings clearly to physicians for clinical decision-making. Maintain thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and cardiovascular technology to optimize imaging quality and diagnostic accuracy. Qualifications Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent credential; additional certification in echocardiography or cardiac diagnostics is preferred. Proven experience in vascular ultrasound imaging, with familiarity in cardiac catheterization, telemetry, interventional radiology, and cath lab procedures. Strong understanding of cardiovascular physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Hands-on experience with PACS systems and medical equipment operation within a Level I Trauma Center or emergency medicine setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control standards necessary for invasive procedures. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments such as Level II trauma centers or emergency departments while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and explaining complex findings to patients.
