Permanent Sonographer -
General/Vascular Hourly:
$40.00 - $50.00 based on experience Possible relocation, discussed at interview State licensure reimbursement after 90 days of employment Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to provide mobile ultrasound services throughout the Omaha area. This position involves traveling to nursing homes, home care facilities, and other assigned locations to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and has strong communication and organizational skills.

September 28, 2026 Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable equipment. Travel to various patient care locations throughout the assigned service area. Obtain high-quality, clinically diagnostic images. Verify physician orders and patient information before performing examinations. Digitally transmit completed studies for radiologist interpretation. Complete required exam-related paperwork and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch, facilities, supervisors, and team members. Maintain assigned ultrasound equipment and company vehicle. Respond promptly to urgent communications. Follow all safety, infection control, and professional standards. Participate in required training and meetings. Provide training to other technologists when needed. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program. ARDMS or CCI certification required. RVT or RVS required for vascular ultrasound. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Current professional credentials and certifications.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer and smartphone skills. Comfortable traveling between multiple patient locations. Limited licenses are not accepted. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and transport portable ultrasound equipment weighing approximately 18-20 lbs. Ability to pull a wheeled equipment cart for distances of up to 250 feet. Ability to travel between multiple locations during the workday.
