1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 5 years of experience and strong expertise in breast imaging, including ultrasound-guided biopsies, for a 13-week travel contract. Details Hospital-based ultrasound department focused on diagnostic and screening imaging workflows Primary focus on breast ultrasound, including diagnostic, screening, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy in a high-volume setting Secondary responsibilities include general ultrasound: abdominal, thyroid, pelvic (transabdominal and transvaginal), and vascular studies (venous and arterial Doppler) Works closely with radiologists in delivering patient-centered care 4x8 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Epic EMR experience preferred Requirements Minimum of 5 years of ultrasound experience preferred, with demonstrated expertise in breast imaging Current BLS, RVT, and ARDMS certification required; Breast certification strongly preferred, along with Abdomen and OB/GYN Proficiency in general ultrasound including abdominal, thyroid, pelvic, and vascular Doppler studies required Travel experience preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible License required if applicable Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information Perform breast ultrasound for diagnostic and screening workflows and assist with or independently perform ultrasound-guided breast biopsies First-time travelers will be considered for this position Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
