Know Your Team:
Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Responsibilities This position is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sounds waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities; assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service. Performance of all Ultrasound examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services. Preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department?s telephone, and scheduling patients. Entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS). Maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program. Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent.with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Previous employment as an Ultrasound Technologist. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
