Job Summary We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations focused on maternal-fetal medicine and gynecological imaging, providing critical information to assist in patient diagnosis and care. This role requires a professional with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. The technician will work closely with obstetricians, gynecologists, and radiologists to deliver high-quality imaging services in a clinical setting. Duties Conduct detailed ultrasound examinations of the pelvis, abdomen, and fetus, utilizing advanced sonography equipment. Assist in the assessment of fetal development, placental health, and maternal anatomy, ensuring accurate and comprehensive imaging results. Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Interpret physiological data and communicate findings clearly to physicians for diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with medical standards. Educate patients about procedures, addressing questions with professionalism and empathy. Adhere to safety protocols related to medical imaging and diagnostic radiology practices. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care and workflow efficiency. Skills Strong knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and anatomy relevant to ultrasound imaging. Proficiency in medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Expertise in sonography techniques specific to obstetric and gynecological imaging. Familiarity with medical imaging equipment operation and maintenance. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to apply aseptic techniques diligently during procedures. Compassionate patient care skills with an emphasis on comfort and reassurance during examinations. Attention to detail in image acquisition and interpretation to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
