Competitive compensation and benefits Continuing education opportunities Supportive work culture What You'll Do As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer , you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You'll be responsible for performing sonographic exams, assisting physicians with procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing diagnostic ultrasound exams as ordered by physicians Operating and maintaining sonographic equipment Assisting with invasive procedures using sterile techniques Preparing preliminary reports and communicating findings as needed Maintaining high standards of medical ethics and patient care Assisting with department operations including scheduling, supplies, and equipment maintenance Supporting the training and mentoring of new employees and interns What We're Looking For We're seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated professional who is committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program Active ARDMS certification in appropriate specialties BLS certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire) At least 1 year of full-time sonography experience Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and sonographic principles Excellent communication and independent judgment skills Physical Demands This role requires: Physical and emotional stamina to meet patient and departmental needs Strength to move heavy equipment (up to ~500 lbs), assist in patient transfers, and maintain arm positions during scanning Ability to safely maneuver wheelchairs, stretchers, and assist patients as needed Exposure Category Category I - Tasks involve direct exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Proper PPE and infection control training are provided to ensure safety.
