Established cardiology and vascular practice in Washington Heights, Manhattan is looking for a vascular sonographer for a steady part-time schedule. No call, no weekends, no hospital politics. Schedule About six days a month — roughly a day and a half a week. Our current technologist alternates one day one week, two the next; we're open to a different pattern that covers the same number of sessions. Whatever we agree, the days are set in advance and stay fixed. What you'll do Perform in-office vascular studies: carotid duplex, lower-extremity venous and arterial duplex, renal Ultrasound for RAS and abdominal aortic/IVC duplex Record preliminary findings Flag urgent results directly to the physician Keep the equipment in good order What we're looking for RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) — or registry-eligible Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program Able to work independently — you'll be the only sonographer on site Fast and accurate. Our volume runs 60->100 studies a week. Reliable. We're a small practice and the schedule depends on you. Pay $25 per study. At our current volume that works out to roughly $1,500-$2,500 per week . Independent contractor (1099), paid weekly, no benefits. Predictable schedule, new equipment (2026), established patient volume, and a practice small enough that you deal directly with the physician. Pairs well with a full-time or per-diem hospital position.
