1 Description American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 12-week travel assignment, requiring at least 1 year of experience and proficiency in general ultrasound across adult, ER, and ICU settings. Details Works in a hospital ultrasound department serving adult, emergency department, ICU, and portable imaging settings Performs a wide range of general ultrasound studies including abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, lung biopsy, and intraoperative imaging Preferred ultrasound experience includes breast, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, and intraoperative studies OB/GYN studies include amniotic fluid index, 1st trimester, ovaries, uterus, vaginal, transvaginal, renal/pelvis, and bladder Vascular studies include lower extremity venous, renal/bladder, with carotid, lower extremity arterial, and aorta preferred Small parts studies include testicles/scrotum and thyroid Equipment includes GE, PACS, and SonoSite; Philips and Siemens experience preferred Epic EMR is required
Schedule:
Saturday 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, Monday 2:30 PM-12:00 AM, Tuesday 2:30 PM-12:00 AM (4x10-hour shifts) Candidates will be expected to float per facility policy Requirements Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience Current BLS certification required Epic EMR experience is required NY state license required if applicable Previous charge experience preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates within 75 miles are not accepted for the travel pay rate 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO requests should be kept to within 1 week for the duration of the contract; holiday RTO is not available Caribbean blue or surgical scrubs are required per facility dress code Pre-start modules are required and vary by specialty; candidates with foreign education may be subject to additional verification Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a gap of at least 1 year before returning
