Job Description
OB Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer to join our team and perform limited obstetric ultrasounds in a supportive, patient-centered environment. The sonographer will perform limited OB ultrasound examinations within the established scope and protocols of our center. This position does not involve comprehensive diagnostic or fetal anatomy scans. Responsibilities Perform limited obstetric ultrasound examinations according to established protocols and scope of practice Obtain appropriate ultrasound images and measurements to assess the specific clinical indications included within the limited examination Document ultrasound examinations accurately and completely Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients and provide compassionate, professional care throughout the visit Recognize findings that fall outside the scope of the limited examination and follow established procedures for appropriate clinical review or referral Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality Follow infection-control, safety, and ultrasound equipment-cleaning procedures Maintain accurate patient records and ultrasound documentation Work collaboratively with nurses and other members of the clinical team Qualifications RDMS credential preferred, particularly with an OB/GYN specialty Ultrasound technologist/sonographer with appropriate education and training in obstetric ultrasound Experience performing obstetric ultrasounds preferred Knowledge of limited obstetric ultrasound techniques and documentation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and professional approach to patient care Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail Comfortable working independently within established clinical protocols and scope of practice
