Part‑Time Venous Sonographer (Varicose Vein & Reflux Studies) Springfield Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced sonographer to perform venous duplex ultrasounds, reflux studies, and varicose vein mapping in our outpatient vein program.

Requirements:

Experience with venous reflux exams, strong image acquisition skills, RVT/RVS/RPhS preferred.

Duties Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations such as carotid, AAA, Reflux Insufficiencies Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and adherence to safety protocols. Assist physicians by providing clear, detailed images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain thorough documentation of procedures within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately interpret ultrasound findings. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to ensure patient safety during imaging procedures. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive women's health diagnostics and reproductive patient care. Qualifications Proven experience in sonography with proficiency in vascular technology diagnostics, echocardiography. Strong understanding of medical imaging principles, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to obstetrics and gynecology. Demonstrated ability to operate medical imaging equipment including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare providers. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping. Knowledge of medical terminology related to diagnostic radiology and women's health diagnostics. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care in a fast-paced environment.
