Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Registered Vascular Sonographer to join our mobile healthcare team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced vascular ultrasound imaging techniques to diagnose and evaluate vascular conditions, ensuring accurate and timely patient assessments in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities and patient's homes. Your expertise will contribute to comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, supporting effective treatment plans within a fast-paced, high-quality medical environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your specialized skills in cardiovascular and vascular imaging, making a meaningful impact on patient care and outcomes. Duties Perform detailed vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies, to assess blood flow and identify abnormalities in arteries and veins. Operate sophisticated ultrasound equipment and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image capture, storage, and retrieval. Assist with cardiac diagnostics such as echocardiography, cardiac stress tests, and rhythm analysis to support cardiology teams. Collaborate with physicians during interventional radiology procedures and cardiac catheterization to provide real-time imaging guidance. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures. Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout diagnostic evaluations, providing clear explanations of procedures as needed. Document findings accurately in medical records, prepare detailed reports for physicians, and support diagnostic evaluation processes. Qualifications Certified as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or equivalent credential from an accredited organization. Proven experience with vascular ultrasound imaging techniques, including Doppler ultrasound and physiologic testing. Knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, anatomy, and pathology relevant to vascular health assessments. Familiarity with interventional cardiology procedures such as cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology practices. Experience working in high-acuity environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology, cardiac rhythm analysis, and cardiovascular technology systems. Ability to operate complex medical equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining patient safety standards. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in emergency medicine settings. Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately under pressure in fast-paced environments.
