Job Summary and Qualifications The Echo Technologist performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. This role requires strong technical skills, clinical judgment, and exceptional patient care abilities while working collaboratively with cardiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
What you will do:
Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) according to established protocols Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments to optimize studies Accurately document examination findings and complete required records Prepare patients for procedures and provide education regarding testing Recognize and communicate critical findings to the appropriate healthcare team members Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards Support accreditation and regulatory requirements Demonstrate commitment to patient safety, satisfaction, and exceptional service
Position Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent cardiovascular ultrasound training Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound imaging principles Why HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital?
