Echo Technologist - Charleston, SC Soliant - 3.9 Charleston, SC Job Details Full-time | Contract $2,178 - $2,304 a week 20 hours ago Qualifications Diagnostic imaging equipment Anatomy knowledge Image acquisition for patient care BLS Certification Medical diagnostic testing Operating medical imaging equipment Patient interaction Picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) Full Job Description Must hold current certification in echocardiography as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI. A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Tech required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for an experienced professional skilled in Imaging—specifically Echo technology. This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality echocardiographic studies and assisting healthcare teams in patient diagnosis and care.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Registered or registry-eligible Echo Tech (ARDMS, CCI, or equivalent) Strong background in cardiac imaging, including M-mode, 2D, Doppler, color flow, stress, and contrast echocardiography Proven expertise in operating ultrasound equipment and associated PACS and EMR systems In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathology, and imaging protocols Current BLS certification Excellent communication and patient care skills Attention to detail and commitment to high clinical standards
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a full range of echocardiographic exams according to physician orders and established protocols Collaborate with cardiologists and care teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic results Prepare and maintain equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness Document and deliver findings via clear, concise reporting in medical records Support patient understanding and comfort throughout diagnostic procedures Maintain compliance with HIPAA and facility guidelines Contribute to a productive, supportive clinical environment This contract opportunity allows you to work with skilled colleagues in a supportive healthcare setting.
