In this vital role, you will utilize advanced medical imaging technology to produce detailed images of patients' internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and effective patient care. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will ensure high-quality imaging procedures, particularly within maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn). As a key member of our diagnostic radiology team, you will deliver compassionate patient care while maintaining the highest standards of aseptic technique and safety protocols. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes through expert imaging and communication. Duties Operate sonography equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly, ensuring their comfort and cooperation throughout the imaging session Apply thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology to capture precise images that aid in diagnosis Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during all procedures Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to review images, discuss findings, and assist in diagnosis processes Document all procedures accurately in patient records, including technical details and observations Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and cleanliness of ultrasound equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital policies
Requirements:
Graduated with A.S. from an Accredited Ultrasound Program RDMS registered, RVT registered preferred but not required Ultrasound skills including but not limited to Abd, OB/GYN, Small parts, Breast, and Vascular We are seeking a candidate in the immediate surrounding area Proven experience in sonography with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn imaging preferred Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging Proficiency in medical imaging techniques including ultrasound technology and diagnostic radiology principles Knowledge of aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards during procedures Excellent communication skills to effectively explain procedures to patients and collaborate with healthcare teams Ability to interpret ultrasound images accurately for diagnostic purposes Basic understanding of patient care principles with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations Join us as a Sonographer and become part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional diagnostic services.
