Ultrasound Technologist (Independent Contractor - 1099)
Location:
Greenwood, SC and Mobile Clinic Locations Schedule:
1-2 days per week in Greenwood clinic, plus one half-day every other week in a mobile clinic setting
Compensation:
Per-scan payment structure (1099 Independent Contractor) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in our outpatient clinic and mobile clinic locations. This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity offering flexibility and the potential for additional hours as our mobile services continue to expand. The selected candidate will work primarily in our Greenwood clinic 1-2 days per week and provide coverage in a mobile clinic setting for a half-day every other week. Travel time and mileage for mobile clinic assignments will be compensated. Opportunities for increased mobile clinic coverage and additional income may become available based on participant interest and program growth. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to provider orders and established protocols. Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout the examination process. Document procedures and maintain accurate records. Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any operational concerns. Communicate effectively with providers, clinic staff, and patients. Adhere to all applicable regulatory, safety, and professional standards. Qualifications Current certification through ARDMS or equivalent credentialing organization. Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Current BLS certification preferred. Minimum of one year of ultrasound experience preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and patient care skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to mobile clinic locations. Compensation Compensation is based on the number of scans performed. This position is classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor role and is not eligible for employee benefits. Travel for mobile clinic assignments will be compensated. Additional mobile clinic opportunities may become available for contractors interested in increasing their hours and earnings.
