We provide quality care and patient-friendly services to adults and children of all ages. We are seeking qualified, like-minded applicants to join our team! This position will require flexibility with hours and location. (Gunbarrel & Hixson) No Call or Weekends 7A- 5P Four days a week with Days to be determined
Summary/Objective:
The Registered Vascular Technologist-Sonographer Provides healthcare services to patient(s) under the direction and supervision of a Physician.
Essential Functions:
Explain procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce the anxieties of the patient. Perform non-invasive Reflux testing independently; involving the arterial and venous systems as required. Extensive knowledge of DVT and venous insufficiency exam preferred. Reviews test results with interpreting physician. Maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies by cleaning and adjusting equipment; troubleshooting problems; performing preventive maintenance; reporting equipment malfunctions; arranging for repairs if necessary; maintaining supply inventory; keeping rooms clean, sanitized, and organized at all times. Provide excellent patient care and exhibit an excellent bedside manner. Treat team members and patients with utmost respect and compassion. Be a team player; willing to be cross trained for other duties outside of your job scope. Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPPA and compliance guidelines established by the practice. Attends all regular meetings. Participates in clinical educational programs as necessary for job duties. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. Other duties as delegated by the team lead and or physician.

Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Attend regular staff meetings and in-services as directed by your manager. Consistently demonstrate the value of team concept. Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities. Complete assignments efficiently and in a timely manner. Understands and abides by
OSHA, HIPAA & CLIA
standards.
WORKING HOURS
1. Work hours can be PRN, Pro-rated FT or FT based on needs of the site. 2. Weekends, holidays, and overtime must be worked as required by department. 3. Galen reserves the right to change the work schedule of any employee when it is considered in the best interest of the organization. 4. The reasonable scheduling of overtime is the prerogative if Galen, and employees will be expected to work such overtime unless excused be their supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required Associate's or Bachelor's in vascular ultrasound preferred
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in vascular ultrasound performing venous reflux exams
Skills/Certifications:
Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound Program Registered as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or committed to obtaining within the first 6 months of employment Current basic life support certification (BLS) Strong organizational and time management skills Emphasis on patient care and customer service As part of the Galen Medical Group, the applicant must be a team player and provide excellent customer service while assessing our patients needs efficiently.
