Ultrasound Technician -

Part-Time Schedule:

1-2 days per month We are seeking an experienced and dependable Ultrasound Technician/Sonographer to provide ultrasound services in our outpatient medical office. Our practice specializes in Nephrology, Diabetes, and Internal Medicine . The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent patient care and communication skills, and a solid understanding of anatomy and ultrasound imaging. This position requires someone who can work independently, obtain high-quality diagnostic images, and communicate findings appropriately to the physician. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by the physician. Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to help ensure their comfort. Prepare patients and appropriately position them for ultrasound examinations. Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Select and document appropriate images for physician review. Evaluate images for quality and ensure all necessary views are obtained. Communicate preliminary technical findings to the physician as appropriate. Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records. Clean and disinfect ultrasound equipment and examination areas according to office protocols. Maintain equipment and report any concerns or needed maintenance. Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. Current sonography certification/registration preferred. Previous ultrasound experience preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy and diagnostic imaging techniques. Excellent communication and patient service skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Good problem-solving, critical-thinking, and time-management skills. Ability to remain professional and focused in a busy medical office environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely position patients and equipment as needed. Schedule This is a very part-time position requiring approximately 1-2 days per month . Scheduling will be coordinated in advance based on patient and office needs.
