Responsibilities Perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations, including screening and diagnostic imaging for various breast conditions. Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment with precision, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate interpretation. Assist physicians with image acquisition during biopsies, needle localizations, and other interventional procedures related to breast health. Document all procedures accurately within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, oncologists, and obstetricians/gynecologists to support comprehensive women's health diagnostics. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a sterile environment during all procedures. Requirements Proven experience in breast ultrasound imaging, with proficiency in vascular technology diagnostics and gynecological ultrasound preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to women's health and reproductive patient care. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential required; additional certifications in maternal-fetal medicine or echocardiography are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to operate medical imaging equipment effectively, including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and record keeping. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Knowledge of vascular ultrasound imaging techniques and abdominal ultrasound procedures is desirable.
