Job Summary

•ARRT or ARDMS Certifications Required

•Performs optimum, safe diagnostic and screening breast ultrasound exams accurately and proficiently, following departmental protocol. Responsible for Breast Ultrasound QA program and ensuring compliance to ACR Breast Ultrasound Accreditation. Coordinate, review and prepare for daily ultrasound schedule. Notify patients of benign results as instructed by radiologist. Perform follow up calls to biopsy patients as needed and provide documentation on procedural progress note. Assist with patient workflow for diagnostic evaluations. Mammography Certification and experience in addition to Breast Sonography is preferred.

American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers ARRT Mammography :

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Mammography Certification preferred in addition to

Ultrasound Certification BLS :

Basic Life Support 1-2 years Breast Ultrasound experience preferred Has detailed knowledge of three dimensional spatial and cross-sectional anatomy and of common physiological and pathological processes.
