Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Vascular Sonographer to join our outpatient vascular clinic. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations, provide exceptional patient care, and work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The successful candidate should also be willing to learn new ultrasound techniques and expand their clinical skills as our practice continues to grow. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive noninvasive vascular and ultrasound examinations, including: Carotid duplex studies Venous insufficiency evaluations Venous duplex for DVT Peripheral arterial duplex examinations Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) and Toe-Brachial Index (TBI) testing Aortic and renal artery duplex studies (if applicable) Non-obstetric pelvic ultrasound examinations Prostate ultrasound examinations Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and accurate measurements. Review patient history and explain examination procedures. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout examinations. Document findings and prepare preliminary technical reports for physician interpretation. Maintain ultrasound equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks. Follow infection control, HIPAA, and clinic safety protocols. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care. Maintain certification and participate in continuing education as required. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program.
Current credential as:
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS or ARRTS. Current BLS/CPR certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic excellence. Preferred Minimum of 1-2 years of vascular ultrasound experience. Experience in an outpatient vascular or surgical practice. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR). Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team.
