Job Description

Nashville Vascular and Vein Institute (NVAVI) is looking to add Vascular Technologist who will play a vital role in the diagnosis and evaluation of vascular conditions through advanced imaging techniques. This position involves performing high-quality vascular ultrasound procedures, including Doppler assessments, to assist physicians in diagnosing vascular diseases. The technologist ensures accurate data collection and image acquisition, contributing to effective patient care within a fast-paced clinical environment. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, and proficient operation of diagnostic equipment, including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). What you will do day to day: Perform vascular ultrasound imaging, including duplex scans & Doppler assessments to evaluate blood flow & vessel integrity. Assist in diagnostic evaluations related to arterial & venous systems, utilizing sonography techniques. Operate specialized medical equipment safely & efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques. Document findings accurately within electronic medical records & PACS for review by physicians. Maintain equipment calibration, cleanliness, proper functioning to ensure optimal imaging quality. Educate patients regarding procedures, ensuring comfort & understanding throughout the process. What we need to see from you: Proven experience with vascular ultrasound imaging. Certification as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Familiarity with medical equipment operation related to sonography. Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image management. Excellent understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
