- Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist I
Minimum Qualifications:
- + Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasound program + 0+ years of experience.
Job Summary:
- The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist I position works independently to complete a variety of routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures to include common and special ultrasound exams of moderate complexity.
- Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist II
Minimum Qualifications:
- + Associates of Applied Science + Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound program + Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer + 3+ years of experience + American Heart Association (BLS) + Any
- one•of the following credentials: + American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS- AB) + American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-MSKS) + American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-OB/GYN) + American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-PS) + American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS- BR) + American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-RVT) + American Registry for Radiology Technologist (ARRT-VS) •
Job Summary:
- The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist II position is an experienced technologist who completes a variety of routine to complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures to include common and special ultrasound exams of high difficulty.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OB/GYN registered with ARDMS.
Job Duties:
- + Promotes a positive work environment. + Collaborates with all members of the patient care team. + Guides and mentors Ultrasound Technologist I and students to help build confidence in skills, knowledge and abilities. + Uses peer-to-peer accountability towards department goals for retention and employee engagement.
- Utilizes verbal, nonverbal & written communication to achieve mutual understanding.
This includes:
positioning, physiology, procedure preparation and technical factors. + Assists physicians during diagnostic procedures or special ultrasound procedures, including assisting with sterile technique. + Utilizes AIDET incorporating Key Words andMANGAGE UP
techniques, when speaking to patients and family members at an age-appropriate level. + Follows safety standards and conducts all imaging procedures accordingly. + Maintains proper sterile techniques for procedures. + Complies with job role, department and hospital safety standards, practices and policies. + Identifies LEAN opportunities and WASTE, providing recommendations, and contributes to meeting department and hospital targets for quality and safety. + Reports near misses and inputs errors promptly into appropriate hospital patient safety reporting system to improve processes and identify trends.Salary Range:
- Actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Work Location/Coverage Requirements:
- + Position is a float primarily based at the clinics in North Houston, TX such as Conroe/Katy/Sugarland. + Will require cross-coverage to clinics within the region.
