SUMMARY:
This Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This position requires the ability to operate sophisticated ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of various body parts, ensuring accurate and timely results. The Ultrasound Technologist collaborates closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret preliminary findings and provide essential data for patient care decisions. Attention to patient comfort and safety is paramount, as the role involves direct patient interaction and the need to explain procedures clearly and compassionately. Ultimately, the Ultrasound Technologist contributes to improved patient outcomes through precise imaging and effective communication within the medical team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and position patients appropriately for CT imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process
  • Perform CT scans following physician orders and imaging protocols
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning
  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment
  • Adhere to radiation safety and regulatory guidelines
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information
  • Collaborate with radiologist and clinical staff
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Page 2 of 4
QUALIFICATIONS:
ARRT certification in Computed Tomography
  • Valid Texas state license (if applicable)
  • Minimum 2+ years of CT experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills Computer skills required: Spreadsheet Software (Excel) Word Processing Software (Word) Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)
