ECHO Technician, FT Rotating (57725) El Paso Childrens Hospital - El Paso, TX 79905 Apply Overview Level Entry Position Type Full Time Job Shift Rotating Education Level 2 Year Degree Apply Description Assists in coordinating the scheduling of tests and procedures in the non-invasive areas. Operates the Diagnostic ECG/Echocardiography equipment.
Performs studies to include:
Echocardiograms 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, contrast, stress echo, and transesophageal. Provides care to patients of varying ages and age-related needs. Qualifications Work Experience Previous Echo Technician work preferred or 12 months on the position training. License/Registration/Certification Registered in echocardiography required (new hire to obtain within 6 months of employment); ADMS or CCI credentials. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Education and Training High school graduates or equivalent. Knowledge of physical or biological sciences with minimum of six months of training, under supervision of an experienced non-invasive technologist and/or cardiologist. Skills Thorough knowledge of all phases of Echocardiography, EKG, and other special cardiac diagnostic equipment. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of an Echochardiography Technician. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Knowledgeable of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to perform basic computer keyboard skills. Share job details to
