Job Description Location:
Onsite at our care center located at 4800 Northeast Stallings Drive, Suite 106, Nacogdoches, TX 75965 Perform obstetric ultrasounds (first trimester, second/third trimester growth scans, anatomy scans, biophysical profiles, Doppler studies, and amniotic fluid assessments). Perform gynecologic ultrasounds (transabdominal and transvaginal) to evaluate pelvic structures, ovaries, uterus, and endometrium. Capture high-quality diagnostic images and cine loops per physician order and protocol. Identify, measure, and document fetal structures, growth parameters, and anatomical findings. Assist in the evaluation of multiple gestations, high-risk pregnancies, and abnormal findings. Provide preliminary impressions to physicians while avoiding independent diagnosis. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Explain procedures to patients, ensuring understanding and comfort. Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor with patients who may be anxious or in distress. Protect patient privacy and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Assist patients in positioning and provide physical support when necessary. Operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring calibration, functionality, and cleanliness. Select appropriate transducers, settings, and scanning techniques based on examination needs. Follow infection control protocols, including proper cleaning and disinfecting of probes. Recognize equipment malfunctions and report promptly for maintenance. Work closely with obstetricians, gynecologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and other healthcare providers. Communicate critical or urgent findings immediately to the physician. Assist in training new technologists, medical residents, or ultrasound students as needed. Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years' experience in OB/GYN and routine scans preferred. Proficiency in 2D, Doppler, and 3D/4D imaging techniques. Strong knowledge of fetal and female pelvic anatomy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting. Strong attention to detail and image quality. Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (with OB/GYN concentration preferred). ARDMS certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) required. Additional Information Compensation range for this vacancy is based on years of experience, education and location. Hourly range for this vacancy is $45 to $56 per hour.
