Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Echo Tech will perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms as well as participate in the sonography portion of a dobutamine stress echo. PRN position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Graduate of an accredited two (2) year Cardiovascular / Echo program. Must be RDCS or CCI Registered. BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire. Six (6) months experience required including 2-D, Stress-Dobutamine, Tee's preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs and interpret echocardiograms. Performs exercise/nuclear scanning test under physician supervision. Makes judgments regarding communication with physicians. Maintain equipment in good repair. Maintain inventory as necessary. Assist in defining/implement QA/QI for department. Maintains a clean/safe/neat working environment. Maintains log book. Keeps section clean/orderly/maintain safe environment. Ensures physician dictates are routed to medical records. Assists with charge and order entry. #WNJ
