An Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer uses ultrasound technology to examine the inside of patients' bodies and diagnose medical conditions. Works closely with other healthcare specialists who assess and treat relevant conditions. Works in hospitals or other healthcare facilities.

BLS (AHA only) ARDMS or RVT credential Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams according to protocols. Prepare and educate patients before procedures. Ensure correct patient identification and exam verification. Maintain patient safety, infection control, and sterile technique. Maintain imaging equipment and report issues. Support quality assurance and departmental workflows. Provide compassionate patient care and excellent customer service. Participate in call coverage if required. Train and mentor new staff when needed.
