Job Summary The PRN Ultrasound Tech is responsible for providing technical expertise in performance of diagnostic sonography procedures. Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks Prepares patient for imaging procedures by accurately assessing patient's needs. Provide patient education. Operates specialty imaging equipment for image production and documentation of images. Performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images. Prepares patient's studies for interpretation by radiologist. Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity. Ensures department is TJC compliant. Adheres to internal controls established for the department. Other duties as assigned. Required Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate from an AMA Accredited ARDMS Program. Required Certifications/Licenses Certification from ARDMS Small Parts/Abd/Vascular. Must be able to obtain and maintain BLS certification. Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies High attention to details. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment. Highly effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal). Project management skills. Excellence in problem-analyzing, problem-solving, and customer service. Ability to use discretion and maintain integrity and professionalism. Ability to Navigate EPIC and Pacs. Skilled in direct patient care. Ability to communicate with patients and families regarding exams.
