Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program Current ARDMS certification (or eligibility) Proficiency in general ultrasound procedures (abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular preferred) Previous experience as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer in a clinical or hospital setting Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Current BLS certification

Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality general ultrasound exams according to provider orders and facility protocols Apply proper imaging techniques and assure optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis Accurately document patient histories, procedures, and findings within electronic medical records Assist with patient preparation, providing education and comfort throughout procedures Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and safety Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to discuss findings and improve care Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
