Sonographer Specialty Job Responsibilities:
Performs complex and advanced specialty exams, and Intra op ultrasound guided procedures, venous insufficiency studies, AV optimization. Identifies and manages clinical or emergent problems that may impact exam outcomes, ensuring patient safety and optimal diagnostic quality. Participated in some healthcare related community engagement event. Provides expert patient communication, ensuring understanding, comfort, and cooperation during procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist required upon start American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required upon start.
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered. Must have
RVT/RVS/VS
with specialty in Vascular
OR RDMS/ARRT
with at least two sonographer specialties (i.e. OB/GYN, Breast, AB) required upon start. Licensure
  • None required Experience
  • 5 years of experience in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of Specialized Diagnostic Medical Sonography Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
ARRT, ARDMS, RDMS or RVT registered
