1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Sonographer with 1+ years of pediatric sonography experience and ECMO procedure knowledge for a 26-week assignment. Details Hospital setting covering NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units Performs echocardiographic studies across the full spectrum of fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital diagnoses Assists with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement 4 scanners available on unit Uses Epic EMR and PACS Fuji CV Synapse Utilizes Phillips ultrasound equipment Variable 8-hour day shifts with start times between 7 AM and 9 AM, ending by 5 PM 40 hours per week Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric sonography required BLS and ARDMS certification required License required if applicable Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred Fetal echo experience encouraged Adult echo experience a plus Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease required Experience with ECMO procedures required Additional Information Responsibilities include recognizing and triaging emergent situations Provides written communication to cardiologists Responsible for maintenance of equipment as well as logging and billing of procedures Facility orientation lasts 1-2 weeks Caribbean Blue scrubs required
