Job Description

Registered Ultrasound Tech (RDMS) — $55/hr — One Day a Week, Daytime, No Call Lifetime Women's Health & Wellness Ctrs Suffolk, VA Job Details Part-time | Contract $55 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Ob/Gyn Women's health diagnostics Gynecological ultrasound Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Full Job Description Lifetime Women's Health is a private OB/GYN practice in Suffolk looking for a registered sonographer to cover one day a week. This is built to be a straightforward second position for someone who already has a primary job and wants steady additional income without giving up their evenings, their weekends, or their phone. Here is exactly what the arrangement is: $55/hour, W-2, paid for every hour you work. No qualifiers, no stipulations, no formulas. You work an hour, you're paid an hour. One day a week — the same day, every week. We agree on which day together before you start, built around your primary schedule. Then we hold it. This is a standing weekly day, not a rotating or as-needed arrangement, and our patients are booked into it in advance. Occasional exceptions come up on both sides, but they are the exception. Zero call. Not light call. Not occasional call. None. Daytime hours only , scheduled in advance so you can plan your life around them. Small practice. One physician, one small team. You will know everyone's name. Decisions get made in the room, by the person who is in the room with you. The physician reads every study. You scan, Dr. Wing interprets. Clean scope, no ambiguity about where your responsibility ends. Room to grow. If it works well for both of us, there is room to add a second day as our procedure volume increases.
What we need:
ARDMS (RDMS) certification required — OB/GYN specialty preferred, or a strong OB/GYN scanning background Comfortable with transabdominal and transvaginal OB and GYN imaging EMR-comfortable (we use ModMed; we will train you on it) Able to commit to the same day each week, consistently. Patients are scheduled around you, so dependability on your day matters more here than it would in a larger department. Reliable and self-directed — on a small team, showing up when you said you would is most of the job Why we're posting this: We would rather pay above market for a great sonographer one day a week than settle for coverage that doesn't fit. If you're an experienced tech who likes scanning but is tired of the parts of the job that have nothing to do with scanning, this is a clean way to add income without adding aggravation. Apply through the indeed portal. Be sure to include your up to date resume.
