Duties Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including 3D/4D imaging systems, ensuring optimal image quality for various examinations such as obstetrics and gynecological studies Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the imaging session. Perform detailed ultrasound scans following established protocols within specialties like obstetrics and gynecology. Accurately document findings using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems; ensure images are properly stored within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Collaborate with physician and healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide technical insights for diagnosis. Maintain strict aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and uphold high standards of medical imaging quality. Qualifications Proven experience operating medical imaging equipment with proficiency in sonography techniques across multiple specialties such as women's health diagnostics, gynecological and obstetric ultrasound. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to obstetrics and gynecology. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed prenatal ultrasounds and other diagnostic procedures with precision. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and PACS for efficient image management and documentation. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and best practices for patient care during ultrasound examinations. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential is highly preferred.
