1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for a Peripheral Vascular Lab with 2+ years of vascular ultrasound experience and BLS certification. Details Acute care Level 2 trauma facility, Peripheral Vascular Lab Echo/Vascular Tech Clinic setting Outpatient/inpatient care setting with 7 scanners and 7 rooms Performs studies including aorta, abdominal, bypass, fistulas, mapping, stent, ABI, and upper/lower venous and arterial imaging Average of 8-9 studies per day No floating to other departments, though portable studies are performed Uses Cerner EMR and Sectra PACS system, transitioning to Epic Equipment includes Vasculab and Philips Epiq alite 1022 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, block scheduling On-call rotation 1-2 days per week and every 5th weekend, with 30-minute response time On-call rotation covers weekend and holiday requirements Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience required BLS certification required RVT certification required; RDMS certification preferred but not required License required if applicable Cerner EMR experience preferred due to transition to Epic Must demonstrate protocol adaptability and team-oriented approach Reading surgeon on-site rather than in-house radiologist Additional Information Perform vascular and cardiac sonography studies across a variety of protocols Department-specific orientation provided No specific scrub color or dress code; standard grey hospital scrubs available but not provided Candidates who previously worked at the facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
