Job Description

Job Summary As an Ultrasound Technologist at Mon Health, you will provide quality imaging for the purpose of diagnostic and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders to the patient and self, following all regulatory requirements, and while providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence, one patient at a time. Responsibilities Conducts Procedures Follows all policies, procedures and protocols to produce quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times, with observation from supervisor and/or praise received from radiologists, patients, students (if applicable), and coworkers for demonstrating high job knowledge, skill, and willingness to help others. Supplies and Equipment Follows all policies, procedures, and protocols and manufacturer's guidelines when handling equipment, whil demonstrating proficiency in communicating issues and independently cleaning and stocking rooms. RIS and PAC's Follows all policies, procedures, and protocols when operating computers to ensure patient confidentiality, validity of charges, validity of data in in all systems, and quality images submitted for radiologist's interpretation. Patient Care Positioning and Education Always remains patient and customer focused utilizing age-appropriate techniques to provide an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence one patient at a time. Performs Other Duties as Required Always participates in staff meetings (or signs off as reviewing meeting minutes when unable to attend), self-education, in-services, competencies, and maintains required job knowledge (e.g. licensure and credentials, continuing education) whithout prompting from manager, while following policy and procedures surrounding these requirements. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Heavy WorkExerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly. Must have at least 5 years' experience. Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians and coworkers, and instruct patients and their families. Education Associate's Degree (Required) Credentials Amer Reg Diag Med Sonographers (Required)
