Introduction A well-established general practice in Juneau, Alaska is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and compassionate team. This full-service hospital provides both small animal and equine care, offering a diverse caseload in a supportive environment where medical autonomy and professional growth are truly valued. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys a varied case mix, strong team support, and the chance to practice high-quality medicine in one of the most scenic locations in the country. Working Hours / Rota The hospital operates Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, and is closed on weekends. Scheduling is designed to support work-life balance, with flexibility available. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care across a general practice setting. Responsibilities include wellness exams, preventative care, diagnostics, urgent care cases, routine and advanced soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and client education. The role emphasizes long-term client relationships, collaborative case management, and maintaining a high standard of patient care. You will work alongside an experienced support team, allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and efficient case flow. Practice Details This is a full-service general practice with a diverse caseload including wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory capabilities to support thorough diagnostics and efficient treatment planning. The practice fosters medical autonomy while providing strong operational and technical support. Transparent production metrics and structured systems allow veterinarians to maximize both clinical success and professional growth.
