Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wildlife Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, with the ability to diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues. This role requires excellent communication skills, both with clients and team members, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality veterinary services. Duties Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status. Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions in various species. Perform surgical procedures with precision and care, ensuring the use of aseptic techniques. Administer vaccinations and medications as needed. Provide guidance to pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients treated. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine through ongoing education and training. Handle animals safely and effectively during examinations and treatments. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Proficiency in animal handling techniques, including dog handling and equine care. Experience with laboratory procedures related to veterinary diagnostics is preferred. Familiarity with animal catheterization techniques is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
