Job Description

We are working on behalf of a brand new, state of the art small animal hospital in Vista, CA, in San Diego's North County, that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its team. Every part of the facility has been thoughtfully designed with a calm, modern feel for pets, clients, and staff alike. The practice is currently led by a single Medical Director, which makes this a genuine ground floor opportunity for a doctor who wants a real say in how the practice grows, rather than joining an already established routine. The hospital offers a full range of services, including wellness exams, dental care, integrative medicine, vaccinations, parasite prevention, spay and neuter, in-house diagnostics, surgery, and hospice and palliative care, along with same-day urgent care for sick or injured pets. True after-hours emergencies are referred to a nearby specialty and emergency hospital, so this role does not carry overnight ER shifts. The hospital is open Monday to Friday and Saturday, closed Sundays, with a 4 day work week and limited weekend rotation once the team grows to two doctors. This is a rare chance to help shape the culture, systems, and client experience of a new practice from the ground up.
