A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

In this role, you'll provide top-notch preventative care while having the opportunity to perform surgeries for owned pets. If you're passionate about promoting animal health and well-being, and enjoy the challenge and variety that comes with surgery, don't miss out!!! Our Pinellas Campus is expanding to open our clinic on September 1st. As Florida's first non-profit animal hospital to achieve AAHA accreditation, at our Tampa location, we pride ourselves on meeting the critical need for accessible veterinary services in our community. This position is full-time, with benefits, and may require working a weekend day in the future.
Education:
Must possess a
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Experience:
Must possess a valid State of Florida license to practice veterinary medicine and have at least one year of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter.
Skills:
Must be personable, able to communicate with and direct staff and work as a member of a team. Must be able to life 50 pounds on a regular basis.

QUALIFICATIONS
DVM Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree Has and maintains a Valid and Current State of Florida Veterinarian License Computer skills required: Internet Software; (Outlook); and Shelter Luv software (or similar software).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to walk, climb stairs and ladders, run, stoop, bend, stand, push, pull, move and carry heavy objects. Standing for long periods.
