Job Description
Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian - Coral Springs, FL A progressive veterinary practice is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to provide high-quality care for patients presenting with urgent and critical medical needs. This role offers the opportunity to manage a broad range of emergency cases in a collaborative environment with access to advanced diagnostics, specialty support, and experienced veterinary professionals. The practice supports professional growth through mentorship, continuing education, and opportunities to expand clinical expertise. Responsibilities Triage and evaluate small animal patients presenting with emergency and urgent conditions. Diagnose and manage critical, complex, and walk-in cases. Develop appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings. Perform emergency procedures and provide stabilization and ongoing care. Utilize advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment when appropriate. Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, costs, and patient progress. Coordinate case transfers and collaborate with specialty teams when additional expertise is required. Maintain accurate and complete medical records. Develop positive relationships with referring veterinarians and members of the veterinary community. Work collaboratively with technicians, assistants, specialists, and other medical staff. Participate in continuing education and professional development. Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinical environment. Qualifications DVM or equivalent veterinary degree. Active veterinary license or eligibility to obtain a license in the applicable state. Strong interest in emergency medicine. Ability to manage a broad range of challenging cases. Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
